Baloo’s Clues trail at Bateman’s 

Monday 16th February to Sunday 22nd February, 10am to 4pm


Join us at Bateman’s this February half-term for Baloo’s Clues, a fun-filled trail inspired by Ball, the sleepy brown bear from The Jungle Book. Families can explore the house and garden, discovering the puzzles, clues and games Baloo has hidden along the way. £2 with admission (includes a small prize).




Moomin trail at Bodiam Castle 

Saturday 17th January to Sunday 8th March, 11am to 3pm


Join us at Bodiam Castle for a magical wander inspired by Moominvalley, with a family trail around the castle where you can spot characters from the Moomin stories and take part in fun games along the way. Discover more about the Moomin family and their friends, living an adventurous life in the idyllic and peaceful Moominvalley. 


The event is presented by the award- winning creator of interactive theatrical events, Bakehouse Factory. £2, with admission (includes a small prize).

Bugs, Boots & Backpacks: Family Fun with Nature at Hever Castle 

Saturday 14th to Sunday 22nd February


Children can get creative as they learn about nature during the February half-term holidays at Hever Castle. Bugs, Boots & Backpacks will see youngsters building cozy bug hotels for their tiny insect friends, as well as making a clay bug to take home and joining in a muddy boot parade.


This educational event gives everyone a chance to explore and to gather twigs, leaves, bark and pinecones from Hever’s grounds, then using their treasures to create safe homes for creatures such as ladybirds and beetles. Bugs, Boots & Backpacks is included with admission. 




First Signs of Spring at Hever Castle 

Wednesday 11th to Saturday 28th February 


A celebration of the early spring season will be taking place at Hever Castle. First Signs of Spring launches as Hever reopens its gates, following the winter break. 


Visitors can bask in the beauty of nature while walking through Hever’s 

estate, as its extensive grounds start to burst into life once more. Follow a self-guided trail through the estate and enjoy the welcome sights of the first snowdrops, crocuses, dogwoods and scented daphnes. First Signs of Spring is included with admission. 




Wild Imagination Week at Sheffield Park and Garden 

Saturday 14th to Sunday 22nd February


Free natural craft activities running during February half-term at Sheffield Pak and Garden. Get outdoors in nature this February half term with a 

week packed full of free activities! 


From origami, rock painting and making a paper peacock feather to enjoying the mud kitchen and play hut in the Play Glade. There are lots of brilliant crafts and activities to get imaginations running wild. 


February half term activities are free with normal admission.

The Volya Voices at The Grove Theatre, Eastbourne 

Sunday 1st March 


Come and experience the moving harmonies of The Volya Voices – a traditional women’s Ukrainian Choir that perform a blend of songs with cultural pride, resilience and gratitude. The choir was formed to share the beauty of Ukrainian folk music with communities in East Sussex, performed in both Ukrainian and English. 


Led by choir mistress Lorraine Barry, the choir features the rich choral textures, haunting melodies and celebratory rhythms that characterise Ukrainian vocal tradition. The songs are uplifting, and audiences are encouraged to join in. The choir are also deeply committed to supporting those affected by the war in Ukraine – sourcing and sending medical supplies to Ukraine to help those in need.


Money has also been donated towards ambulances and more recently for buying electric wheelchairs for young men and women who have lost limbs – providing them with vital 

mobility and hope.

The Big Jive All-Dayer 

Saturday 28th February 2026, 1pm to 12am


The Big Jive All-Dayer is back in 2026 with a bang! Hosted by The Jive Aces, the UK’s No.1 jive and swing band and bringing you eleven hours of jumping and jiving – with the best swing, jive, rock ’n’ roll bands and DJs in the land!
