Finally, model railway enthusiasts can indulge their passion during the Model Railway Weekend on June 28-29. A visit promises memorable experiences for all ages.
Embark on steam train and journey through time to create magical moments with your family. Kids travel for just £1.00 with any full-paying adult ticket. This year Celebrate the Past - Present and Future with Railway 200 from June to September.

Hever’s Home Front
Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd June
Step back in time to the 1940s at Hever’s Home Front. The spirit of resilience and unity that defined wartime Britain is at the heart of this event. Through the stories of those who lived, worked, and fought on the home front, visitors will gain an appreciation for the ingenuity, determination, and camaraderie that helped the nation endure. This weekend is a tribute to perseverance in the face of adversity.
Experience the sightsand smells of the time with authentic cooking along with displays of military vehicles. Browse stalls selling vintage wares and refreshments.

Gentle Harry’s Farm by The Rude Mechanical Theatre Company

The Rude Mechanical Theatre Company present their smash hit musical comedy ‘Gentle Harry’s Farm’. Superb theatre with fabulous live music presented by one of the UK’s top outdoor theatre companies. It will buzz with hilarity, sigh with tenderness and chirrup with gentle satire.

Lakes & Lilies Festival at Sheffield Park and Garden
Saturday 14th June to Sunday 7th September
Sheffield Park and Garden’s picturesque lakes burst with colour during the summer months, from jewel-like waterlilies to swathes of wildflowers and vibrant rhododendrons.
The Lakes & Lilies Festival offers sights and activities for all-ages, including stand-up paddleboarding on one of the majestic lakes, a breathtaking view of the blooms from a floating pontoon and a family-friendly Exotic Spots summer trail.

Sussex Craft Week is a new festival of craft launching at venues throughout East and West Sussex. Organised by ROSA Magazine in partnership with West Dean college, and supported by many of the region’s leading arts venues, the festival celebrates Sussex as a thriving hub for contemporary and heritage craft.
A diverse and lively programme of events comprising exhibitions, craft courses, demonstrations, talks, open studios and tours, networks visitors with Sussex makers from across the region.

Vintage Fair at Chiddingstone Castle
Sunday 13th July, 10.30am to 4pm
The Vintage Fair returns to Chiddingstone Castle for its 10th Anniversary year this July! With an array of fabulous French and English homewares, decorative vintage, textiles, furniture, fashion, jewellery, accessories, pre-loved items and gardenalia – this truly is a festival of all things vintage.
Miss Vintage and Sussex Swing will be keeping the crowds entertained with singing & dancing throughout the day. Delicious refreshments will be provided by local food specialists.
Browse the stalls, take in the entertainment and picnic in the grounds!
The Castle, Collections and Gift Shop are also open so come along and make a full day of it!

Fletching Garden Trail

Step into the heart of Fletching’s most beautiful private gardens and support a great cause at the Fletching Garden Trail. This eagerly anticipated event is the perfect way to enjoy a day out in nature
while raising vital funds for Fletching Primary School.
The trail offers a rare chance to explore some of the village’s most exquisite gardens, including the breathtaking and rarely seen Clinton Lodge. The gardens are a must-see for nature lovers, offering inspiration and tranquillity for all who visit.
As well as the stunning gardens, enjoy a variety of fun activities, delicious refreshments, and opportunities to win exciting prizes, all while supporting the local school.
Tickets: £10 on the day, free for children and free parking.

Newick Food Fair
Sunday June 29th, 11am to 4pm
Come along to Newick Food Fair’s 9th annual event – meet friends and have a picnic!
A wonderful community event for everyone to enjoy, bring a picnic blanket, outdoor games and browse over 30 stalls of artisan foods, local producers and delicious street food.
This year the event is raising money for Newick Scout Group for a new kitchen along with St Peter and St James Hospice.

Hever in Bloom
Monday 23rd June to Sunday 6th July
Hever in Bloom showcases the glorious award-winning gardens at the height of their summer beauty. You will be able to enjoy one of the finest displays of more than 5,000 roses in Kent, the Garden of England.
Head into the Castle and you will see wonderful floral displays in selected rooms that simply enhance the beauty of the historic Castle.
Take part in Rose Garden Tours (23– 29 June), Floral Demonstrations (30 June – 4 July) and Eco Dye Printing (30 June – 2 July).
