Back for 2025, we've got a family weekend pass up for grabs to this brilliant event exploring an incredible journey through eras of history with camping and food included!

Do you want to experience an unforgettable journey through time? Then look no further than Battles Through History, the exciting multi-period living history military show, coming to the South of England Showground in October this year (Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th) where history will come to life!

Spread over 150 acres, the show promises to be the last hurrah of the summer season. Whether you come with your family and friends or as a participant, Battles Through History will transport you to another era.

You will be surrounded by interactive living history displays spanning 2000 years of military history. There will be military vehicles, authors, wargamers and modelmakers. There will be helicopters and flypasts, free dance classes, live music, and marching bands, a couple of bars and plenty of food and drink!

There will be artisan and re-enactor traders, vintage traders, wargaming suppliers, and of course militaria dealers covering all eras and aspects of military history, all trading items that are for users, and collectors alike.

And of course: In the arena with its fabulous grandstand and all around the showground on various living history camps there will be battles – many many battles!

There's more surprises in store, some of which have never been seen at a military show before! So head to the website, follow on Facebook and tell all your friends, as this is the show you will not want to miss!

Now we've got a great opportunity for you to win a weekend family pass worth £180 (for two adults and two children aged 16 and under), which includes a camping pitch and meals with the 29th Field Kitchen.

The family ticket camping package also includes evening entertainment on the Friday (which is not available without a camping pass) and Saturday night. There are also three meals a day at the authentic WWI field kitchen, and their food is fabulous! Eating at the 29th Field Kitchen is only available to the shows staff and the winner of the competition, so a real exclusive treat!

To be in with a chance of winning, just have a go at our random draw before the competition closes on Friday September 19 - best of luck!
