Your A to Z of The Garden Party Frequently Asked Questions
Alcohol Policy
You are NOT be permitted to bring alcohol into Steyne Gardens, during this event. You may bring in soft drinks, provided they are in sealed plastic containers.
Bags
In the interest of everyone’s safety, please KEEP TO A MINIMUM the amount of items you bring in your bags, we reserve the right to seach your bags.
Banned Items
No glass items, BBQs, flaming torches, Chinese lanterns, laser pens, drones or items that could be considered a weapon
Car Parking
Limited on-street parking is available nearby, however there are several car parks located in he vicinity. The nearest is the High Street Multi Story Car Park, Worthing, BN11 1NY.
Chairs
No seating is provided at this event. You are welcome to view the concert ‘picnic style’ on your own blanket, or standing. You can bring portable chairs, but please be considerate and try not to obstruct the view of others behind you.
Covid
We are hopeful that no restrictions will be in place, but please check this website https://www.sussexliving.com/thegardenparty/ in the days leading up to the event, to ensure you have the latest guidance. We will be providing hand santiser at key areas, but would encourage you to bring your own hand sanitiser (250ml max).
Entrances
The two main entrances are on the South East and South West corners of Steyne Gardens. The Disabled and VIP entrance is located at the north end of Steyne Gardens (Brighton Road). See map
Filming
Still photography and video recording will take place at The Garden Party. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to being filmed “as part of the audience”. No professional filming is permitted without our written consent.
First Aid
Elite Medical will be in attendance throughout the event. Should you require medical attention, please make yourself known to either the first aid or security team.
Food
Hot food/drinks plus Ices will be available to purchase. We will be emailing attendees soon about the opportunity to pre-order a delicious cold buffet for collection on the day. All caterers have demonstrated to the local council their satisfactory compliance with food hygiene regulations.
Licensed Bar Facilities
The Proto Restaurant Group are licensed to serve alcohol during to adults. If under the age of 25 please bring ID.
Money
We will be trialling a new free Wi-Fi facility during the Garden Party, which should allow some on-site purchases using contactless cards. Nevertheless, we recommend you bring ample cash to guarantee your purchases can be made without issues. The bars and any remaining tickets sold at the gate will be CASH ONLY.
Pets
Apart from assisted dogs in the disabled area, we cannot permit any pets to attend this event. Picnics You are welcome to bring your own picnic. Public Transport Directions Steyne Gardens (BN11 3DW) is a short distance from Marine Parade (near the Pier and Dome Cinema) where most bus services stop. Picnics
You are welcome to bring your own picnic, but you may not bring in alcohol (see Alcohol policy above) or any glass or metal cutlery. Alternatively you can pre-order a delicious cold buffet through Kayla's Kitchen for pick up from our bar on the day!
Security
Titanium Security will manage security using SIA licensed staff. Anyone demonstrating behavior considered to be to the detriment of others will be required to leave. We also reserve the right to search anyone entering this event.
Terms and Conditions
By purchasing a ticket(s) you are agreeing to our terms and conditions of sale. The are availbe here and also printed on the reverse of your ticket. It is possible we may need to make some revision or additions after tickets were printed, so please click to see our website T&Cs
Tickets
Tickets to The Garden Party can be bought online here on this website or from Guild Care shops around Worthing click here for locations. Please note, whilst you purchase the ticket online and you will get an email "voucher" this is NOT your physical ticket. Physical tickets are posted twithin 3 days of purchase. Our lost date for online purchase (with postal delivery) is MIDNIGHT on SATURDAY 13th AUGUST. Price is the same for adults and children*.
*Except 5 and unders are FREE and do not require a ticket.
Times
The gates will open at 1pm and we get underway with at live music from 2pm. The show ends at just before 6pm. Toilet Facilities These will be located at the Southern end of Steyne Gardens. Additional toilets will be available in the disabled area (including 2 accessible). There are more toilets in the VIP area too.
VIP tickets
VIP tickets aren’t generally available for purchase to the general public. But we do have a very limited number of VIP tickets available. If you wish to find out more, please contact us using the contact form below.
