Stately Cycle Rid for Charity from Otford to Arundel

JOIN HOSPICES OF HOPE FOR A THREE-DAY “STATELY” CYCLE RIDE FROM OTFORD TO ARUNDEL!
Hospices of Hope is delighted to announce the launch of its three-day “Stately” Cycle Ride (from Friday, 9th July to Sunday, 11th July 2021) which will enable cyclists to take in the beautiful Kent and Sussex countryside, some historic landmarks and all for a great cause – raising funds for the Charity’s hospices and vital medical services in Romania, Serbia, Moldova and Albania . The ride will be led by experienced cyclist David Butterworth for the three-day trip (which will be just over 100 miles). It is important to note that the pace will be leisurely….
Anna Perolls, Managing Director at Hospices of Hope, says: “We are very excited that we will be holding such a fantastic, fun event to help us fund our vital work for sick children and adults across the region. Money raised from the event will enable families with a seriously ill family member to make the most of the precious time they have together.”
Brief Details
What is included? – The cost of participating in the Stately Cycle Ride is £250 - which covers the cost of accommodation (B&B) for the Friday and Saturday evenings, support vehicle - and snacks. The charity will “porter” all luggage between each overnight stop and deliver it to the B & Bs each evening. The Friday night stopover will be in Lamberhurst, Kent, and the Saturday night stopover will be in Lewes, Sussex. The third day will finish at Arundel, Sussex.
The Cycle Route – Otford to Arundel – A map of the cycle route can be downloaded on the Stately Cycle Ride 2021 feature page at: Stately Cycle 2021 | Hospices of Hope Participants will mainly be cycling on B-roads or country roads. Detailed routes will follow later. Note: Participants will need a roadworthy bicycle – with good brakes, new tyres and in good condition. The support vehicle will carry some bike maintenance equipment, should it be needed.
Costs - Each participant should raise a minimum of £250 sponsorship. The registration cost is £250 (including VAT) and covers the costs of the trip - including a team t-shirt, accommodation (bed and breakfast), a support vehicle and supplies.
