Hurst College Sixth Form Open Morning

This open morning is for students – and their parents – who are considering joining Hurst’s Sixth Form in September 2022. It provides an opportunity to tour the facilities, especially St John’s – the co-educational Upper Sixth hall of residence, designed to provide a bridge between Sixth Form and university; listen to presentations by the Headmaster, Heads of the Sixth Form, current students; and meet key members of staff. Hurst Sixth Form tutors are trained as executive life coaches to help students understand their own skills and ambitions as well as support them to fulfil their career aspirations. There is a specialist Careers and Higher Education department with a dedicated team providing invaluable advice and guidance as students consider their areas of interest and various options on offer. The department operates a work placement scheme, careers speed talks, support with university applications and additional support with Oxbridge as well as STEM , Medic, Veterinary and Dentistry degrees.
