Mansell McTaggart East Grinstead presents:
The Frow Show – Welcome to the new abnormal
Staying in is no longer the new going out. Time is nearly up for the lockdown. And the Frow Show is back to help everyone remember how to laugh and be silly together again.
The 2021 show will bring a swag of original songs and sketches presented socially-distanced, cabaret style at the Fresh field Hall in Forest Row.
Inspired by life in the whacky village of Forest Row and the world at large, The Frow Show is aims to bring lightness after the dark times of the past year. The show runs across two weeks, from Thursday 20th, Friday 21st and Saturday the 22nd May and the following week Thursday 27th , Friday 28th and Saturday the 29th of May.
The final night of this year’s show on May 29th will be broadcast live – a pay-per-view show for those who’d rather watch form home. Viewers will be invited to contribute to the show with text messages and clips which will be incorporated into the show.
“During lockdown we’ve missed performing as much as people have missed going to live performances so we’re really excited about this show. And we believe we may be one of the first live theatre shows to take place in the region after the lifting of restrictions,” says the Frow Show’s director and producer Mike Sengelow. “We think people have been craving the chance to share a laugh together so we’ve made sure this show will be one of our funniest yet.”
Mike Sengelow is no stranger to skit comedy. In his native New Zealand he starred in a Saturday night TV sketch show called ‘Skitz’. The rest of the Frow Show cast and musicians are mostly professional performers from all around RH19.
